The World Veterans Federation's world conference, the Peace and Security Summit, to be held in Sweden on 28-31 May 2013

The Swedish Veterans Federation will host the World Veterans Federation's Peace and Security Summit on 28-31 May 2013 in Stockholm. The theme for the conference is "How can veterans contribute to peace and security in society?"

The conference will highlight the fact that veterans represent an asset that society can utilise in a better fashion than is currently the case.

A number of high-profile names will take part at the conference in Stockholm. A list of speakers will be presented in the spring.

"Above all else, the World Veterans Federation wants to demonstrate the fact that veterans represent a resource that society should utilise in a better fashion. The Peace & Security Summit provides us with an opportunity to highlight relevant topics", says Anders Ramnerup, Chairman of the Board for the Swedish Veterans Federation (SVF).

In conjunction with the Peace & Security Summit, the new veterans' monument at Djurgården in Stockholm will be inaugurated on 29 May 2013 by H.M. King Carl XVI Gustaf.
